The US has produced multiple world champions and record holders in the sport of powerlifting, but Heather Connor, aka America’s Sweetheart, is one that will be in history books for decades to come. Although prominent in every lift, Heather prides herself on being the world’s greatest female pound-for-pound deadlifter. However, despite her success so far, Heather is still tirelessly training in order to further improve and cement her legacy. As always, having set a goal for herself, Heather once again pushed her boundaries and set a brand new 207.5-kilogram (457.5-pound) deadlift personal record.

Heather Connor has been gradually increasing the weight for the past few months, all of which led to this moment. The most recent training session was, however, her last heavy deadlift of this training block, which means that she is now ready to compete. So, with everything fine-tuned, Heather put on a lifting belt and placed her feet in a sumo stance. She then utilized a mixed grip and began her pull. After some shaking, Heather managed to lock out 207.5 kilograms (457.5) and claimed a new deadlift PR.

In addition, Heather Connor also unofficially broke the IPF Raw Deadlift World Record in the 47-kilogram weight class. Heather Connor also holds the official record, but it stands at 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds), which she set at the 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships. So, despite setting the record just a few months ago, Heather is already capable of surpassing it by a mind-blowing margin.

As can be seen from her new deadlift PR, Heather Connor is ready to get up on the powerlifting platform and compete. So, she plans to travel to France in a few days and take part in the 2023 FFForce Girl Power contest. It will be held on October 22nd in Cenon, France, and will gather numerous elite powerlifters.

It seems that Heather Connor is ready to put up the greatest performance of her career so far, which is very exciting news. So, she is now the favorite to defend her title at the upcoming competition, but is also an athlete to look out for next season.

Heather Connor has been competing since 2014 and she has accomplished a lot in nearly a decade that has passed since. Overall, she took part in 25 sanctioned competitions and won 16 of them. Heather also claimed the biggest title in the sport, winning the IPF World Championships in 2017 and 2019.
