The second week of the 2024 CrossFit Open is ready to begin, as another workout is set to be revealed on March 7th. Once again, the entire Workout 24.2 will be revealed through an official ceremony, which will luckily be livestreamed as well. Moreover, a spectacular duel is also set to take place during the announcement to give us the first look into what the workout is supposed to look like.

Workout 24.2

The livestream for Workout 24.1 announcement of the 2024 CrossFit Open will be available on the CrossFit Games YouTube channel.

Justin Medeiros is most notable for being a two-time Fittest Man on Earth, having won the 2021 and 2022 CrossFit Games. He is quite a specific type of athlete, barely having any weaknesses and often being the most consistent in the field. So, having had a year to forget in 2023, Justin is set to prove that he is ready to reclaim his title this year.

On the other hand, Colten Mertens had one of his best competition years in 2023, securing a career-high 18th place at the CrossFit Games. Moreover, it came after he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody disease, in January. So, Colten managed to bounce back stronger than ever, and is now hungry for more success.

Only one more workout will remain after the 2024 CrossFit Workout 24.2, as one has already concluded beforehand as well. The remaining workout will be revealed on March 14th and presented with a duel between Tia-Clair Toomey and Arielle Loewen.

Once all three of the 2024 CrossFit Open Workouts are finished, the scores and placements from all will be added up to give each athlete a set amount of points. So, the overall winners of this year’s open will only be known after the third and final workout is completed.
