Jorge Masvidal squared off against the former ONE and Bellator champ Ben Askren in the main card of UFC 239 PPV (pay-per-view) event, which went down live from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night (Sat., July 6, 2019), and finished him in 5 seconds. It is the new fastest knockout in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Many expected it’d be an easy win for undefeated Ben Askren, who was running on a great score of 19 wins and one no contest. On the other side, Masvidal was fresh of a superb knockout victory over dangerous Brit Darren Till.

As soon as the match kicked off, Jorge Masvidal ran towards Askren and delivered a brutal flying knee which countered Ben’s takedown attempt. Ben went down like a sack of beans, and “Gamebred” punished him with two more punches on the ground before the referee Jason Herzog stepped in and waved off the contest. Ben even had a hard time leaving the octagon after this devastating blow.
