Strongwoman Kira Wrixon (64KG) Sets 385.5-kg (850-lb) 18-Inch Deadlift World Record; 6x Her Bodyweight

As strongwoman competitions gain popularity, women from all divisions put on amazing strength displays that astonish onlookers. The 64-kilogram weight class, also referred to as lightweight, is one of the most notable divisions, largely due to athletes like Kira Wrixon, who recently put up one of the most incredible lifts in the sport’s history so far. Kira recently took on a 385.5-kilogram (850-pound) 18-inch deadlift, which she successfully completed and thus set a new U64KG World Record.

Kira Wrixon competed in the 2023 Ohio’s Strongest competition, which took place on August 19th, in Struthers. This was the fourth edition of the competition, and Kira made it very special with her incredible achievement.

Kira Wrixon first put on her deadlift suit, after which she kneeled before the barbell and secured her lifting straps. She then got up, pulled the weight, and stood up with it with only minor signs of struggle. Obviously, this variation of the deadlift means that the barbell is raised to 18 inches, but it still does not make Kira’s 385.5-kilogram (850-pound) pull any less impressive.

Kira Wrixon weighed under 64 kilograms (141 pounds) at the time of the lift, making her new World Record 6x heavier than her bodyweight. Thus, it is one of the most mind-blowing achievements with regard to proportions.

“ I haven’t really figured out what to say about that just yet…”

While there seems to be no registry for U64KG 18-Deadlift World Records, both Kira Wrixon and Ohio’s Strongest confirmed through Instagram that this is the heaviest lift in this event completed in an official competition. That being said, there also doesn’t seem to be any heavier 18-inch deadlifts shared by a U64KG athlete anywhere online.

Kira Wrixon has achieved a lot in the past as well, most notably becoming the U64KG America’s Strongest Woman. She has also set multiple American deadlift records, but has now turned it up a notch and broken a World Record. As far as her appearances at the highest level go, Kira took part in the 2022 World’s Strongest Woman competition, finishing in second place, only behind the incredible Rhianon Lovelace.

Apart from setting the 18-inch Deadlift World Record at the 2023 Ohio’s Strongest competition, Kira Wrixon set another U64KG World Record at the same competition as well. This came in the Circus Dumbbell event, where she managed to lift 62.9 kilograms (138.8 pounds).

Both of Kira Wrixon’s World Records looked quite comfortable for her, making it seem that she has plenty left in the tank. Moreover, it is clear how much strength she has gained during the past year, so Kira is definitely in contention for the title of U64KG World’s Strongest Woman. However, she is facing the impressive Rhianon Lovelace, and the battle between these two women will definitely be a joy to watch for the fans.
