Kyle Kirvay has been recognized as one of the strongest professionals in bodybuilding for quite some time now. Well, he also recognized his strength potential and decided to test the limits in the sport of powerlifting. In turn, Kyle recently appeared in the 2024 PLU American Pro, which took place on November 9th in Winchester. There Kyle put up a surprising display of greatness, setting a new 1,102.5-kilogram (2,430.6-pound) Raw Total U140KG All-Time World Record.
Kyle Kirvay’s Performance Overview
Kyle Kirvay came into the 2024 PLU American Pro weighing a staggering 134.6 kilograms (296.7 pounds) but still maintained a jacked and shredded physique without excessive amounts of body fat. So, it is clear that Kyle is still focusing on maintaining the success he achieved in bodybuilding while also trying to improve his strength. His performance saw him miss only one out of nine attempts, meaning that he basically achieved what he set out to do.
Squat
Kyle Kirvay was successful in completing all three of his squat attempts, with his third one coming out to 417.5 kilograms (920.4 pounds). This marked a new competition PR for him, which is likely why Kyle did not decide to go for an even heavier squat. Judging from the speed at which he moved the bar, it seemed that Kyle could have definitely squatted even more weight.

Bench Press
The bench press is the event that made the biggest difference between Kyle Kirvay’s performance and the former world record. Namely, Kyle managed to lock out 282.5 kilograms (622.8 pounds), which gave him a lot of confidence going into the final event. Moreover, he also set a new competition PR, showing just how much progress he made.
- 255 kilograms (562.1 pounds)
- 275 kilograms (606.2 pounds)

Deadlift
Lastly, Kyle Kirvay moved on to the deadlifts in order to make his Total World Record official. To do so, he needed to lock out 402.5 kilograms (887.3 pounds), which was not a difficult task for Kyle, as he had pulled even more weight during some of his training sessions. It is also worth noting that Kyle performed the deadlift without the use of any equipment. So, he performed a beltless conventional deadlift while grabbing the bar with a mixed grip.
Kyle Kirvay also attempted to deadlift 412.5 kilograms (909.4 pounds) to wrap up his performance but was unable to do so after all of the impressive lifts that he already completed earlier in the day.

Kyle Kirvay has spent years in bodybuilding, with his most notable achievement coming in 2018 when he won his IFBB Pro card after taking first place in the NPC Universe Championships. He has also appeared in the 2020 IFBB Chicago Pro, finishing in 16th place. However, his rise in powerlifting is even more impressive, as it only took him three sanctioned powerlifting appearances to set an All-Time World Record. This sparks the question, what will Kyle be able to do with even more training and time spent in the sport? Well, hopefully Kyle will continue to pursue powerlifting and reach new heights in the future.
