Olivia Reeves established herself as one of the greatest weightlifters ever despite being just 22 years old. She showcased many incredible performances over the course of her career, but her final appearance of 2025 stands as one of her greatest to date. Competing at the 2025 IWF World Championships on October 2nd in Førde, Norway, Olivia set new 77KG World Records across all three events: Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and Total.

Olivia Reeves’ Full Performance Overview

Olivia Reeves usually competes in the 71-kilogram weight class. However, with the change in weight class structure that occurred in 2025, Olivia moved to the 77-kilogram division. This clearly did not pose a problem for Reeves, since she remained as dominant as she was before. In the end, she beat the next best woman by 26 kilograms (57.3 pounds).

Snatch

Olivia Reeves got off to a perfect start, locking out a 114-kilogram (251.3-pound) Snatch on her first attempt. Interestingly, no other woman managed to lift as much weight by the end of the session. So, having already achieved an event-winning lift, Olivia focused on herself and went for a 119-kilogram (262.4-pound) Snatch on her second attempt. Being successful once again, Olivia gained confidence for her final lift.

In order to wrap up the event, Olivia Reeves loaded 123 kilograms (271.2 pounds) to the bar, which was just enough to secure a new 77KG World Record. However, she made the Snatch look incredibly easy, leaving everyone in awe with her tremendous power.

Clean & Jerk

Olivia Reeves’ performance in the Clean & Jerk did not start as smoothly, since she failed her opening lift of 146 kilograms (321.9 pounds). She got the bar off the floor, but once she tried to drive it up, it turned out to be a bit off-center, which caused it to drop behind her back. She fixed that quickly, successfully lifting the same weight on her second attempt.

With one attempt left, Olivia Reeves decided to go all out, adding another 9 kilograms (19.8 pounds) to the barbell. Similar to the Snatch, her weight jump was very purposeful, allowing her to set a new 77KG World Record. The Clean & Jerk was quite smooth, but Olivia did need a few moments to stabilize herself before getting the down signal.
