Rudy Kadlub is one of the standout athletes in the powerlifting world, especially when it comes to the masters division. He intends to keep it this way, which is what keeps him motivated in the training room. So, he has been working extremely hard and has recently displayed a mind-blowing lift in training. The lift in question was a 470-pound (213.2-kilogram) squat, which unofficially exceeded the IPL Masters (70-74 Years Old) World Record.

Rudy Kadlub put on a lifting belt, knee wraps and wrist wraps, before getting under the 470-pound (213.2-pound) barbell. He then lifted the barbell from the rack, walked a few steps back, and took some deep breaths to brace properly. He then dropped down with the weight, and got back up at seemingly the same pace. With that, Rudy’s squat was completed, and he unofficially broke the World Record.

Rudy Kadlub’s 470-pound (213.2-kilogram) squat with wraps is heavier than any official IPL World Record in the Masters (70-74 Years Old) division, regardless of weight class.

Rudy Kadlub is currently preparing for 2023 IPL World Championships, which will take place on November 16-19, in Eugene, Oregon. He hopes to put on a show, break some records, and take the gold medal home. This will be one of Rudy’s final chances to improve his records in the Masters (70-74) division, as he will turn 75 years old next year. Due to that, he will move into the Masters (75-79 Years Old).

Rudy Kadlub has taken part in one competition this year already, which was the 2023 USPA Drug Tested National Championships. During that appearance, Rudy managed to set Squat and Deadlift World Records as well.

Another notable moment for Rudy Kadlub this year has been his birthday, since he celebrated it in his training room. This has become a tradition for Rudy, as he often sets a new PR for each birthday. However, earlier this year, he managed to deadlift 524 pounds for two reps, despite only expecting to do one.
