We’ve seen a lot of athletes break records in the gym and at competitions but this one is a little different…
Strongwoman competitors Sandra Bradley and Leifia Ingalls became the first women in history to lift the massive 186kg/410lb Husafell stone in Husafell, Iceland. This is an incredible feat and many people may not realize just how heavy this stone is…
Bradley wrote the following on her Instagram…
“‼We did a thing!!!
As many of you know @liefiasaurus and I went to Iceland but not just for a bff getaway…
WE LIFTED THE ORIGINAL HÚSAFELL STONE and are the first women in recorded history to ever get it off the ground and move it!”

Now, by the look of things, one might assume that these two athletes just took a trip and ended up attempting to lift this massive stone. But no… they had planned it for a while now…
“It still amazes me to see me with that massive rock in my lap. I can’t begin to describe how much this means to me and how overwhelming and awesome the feeling was to feel the whole weight of the stone in my lap! I know that this is just the beginning of something great.”
“Last year during a random conversation Liefia and I had on my couch in Germany, we found out, that we both shared a dream that we had for a very long time.
So we decided to go on this journey together and just do it!
We surprised ourselves and picked it up earlier than we thought, but this will definitely not be our first and last time. We’ll be back even stronger”
Ingalls had her own post to celebrate the historic feat and she wrote a lengthy and inspiring post that everyone can learn something from…
Both Sandra Bradley and Liefia Ingalls have written their names in the history books as far as we know. But it won’t be their last attempt as they plan to come back even stronger next time!
