The story of Serena Abweh is already nothing short of inspirational. However she showed recently that she has no interest in slowing down at any time in the near future.

For the uninitiated, Serena has overcome a lot in the nearly 20 years that she has been on this Earth. Growing up, she had a ton of body image issues, leading to her suffering from pretty severe anorexia. However she managed to overcome this difficulty, going on to become a championship winning powerlifter, and solid prospect in the sport.

At this point, Serena Abweh is nearing her 20th birthday, and is walking around with a bodyweight of 107lb. However this weight that has been added is clearly nothing but healthy muscle and bulk. She proved this recently, when she managed to hit a solid 335lb deadlift, pulling well over three times her bodyweight, and setting a new personal record at the same time.

“335LBS DEADLIFT PR GUYS🥺
at bw 107lbs
315lbs felt way too ez so I was like fuq it lets add 800lbs more”

The ease with which Serena pulls this weight is evident on her face, and it was clearly a surprise to her. It certainly did not look like she was hitting a PR. However she has been working more than just her deadlift skills. She also was seen hitting a solid seven reps of a 140lb bench, working on making gains. Not only that, but she also compares this set to one of her benching 20lb when she just started off powerlifting.

While she is still very clearly at the start of her career, Serena Abweh seems to be someone worth paying attention to, moving forward. She not only has an insanely inspirational background, but she has the skills to back it up. Moreover she is only getting better, making things all the more interesting.
