Tia-Clair Toomey is perhaps the fittest woman in history, which is why she is able to easily adapt to nearly every sport available. That was the case with her experience in Hyrox, as she decided to delve into a new challenge a couple of months ago. Well, it did not take long for Tia-Clair to reach the top, as she partnered up with Joanna Wietrzyk to win the pro women’s doubles at Hyrox Houston and also set a new World Record.
The Hyrox Houston competition took place on March 15-16, gathering thousands of athletes who were eager to test their fitness. However, Tia-Clair Toomey and her partner, Joanna Wietrzyk had a different goal. They teamed up to take the win, finishing up all of the standardized Hyrox tasks in a time of 54 minutes and 24 seconds. With this incredible time, Tia-Clair and Joanna managed to beat the amazing duo of Lauren Weeks and Lauren Griffith by over a minute.
Tia-Clair Toomey and Joanna Wietrzyk also set a new World Record in the Women’s Pro Doubles division. Consequently, they also qualified for the 2025 Hyrox World Championships in June. Tia-Clair has also qualified for the World Championships in the Mixed Doubles division, having put up an impressive performance with James Newbury in the earlier stage of this month.

The 7x Fittest Woman on Earth, Tia-Clair Toomey, has taken her Hyrox journey quite seriously, making three appearances so far. She competed twice in the Mixed Doubles division and now also made her debut in the women’s doubles division. It is currently unclear what her goal in the sport is, but there is no doubt that Tia-Clair would be among the top-ranking athletes in the individual class as well.
Hyrox has gotten increasingly popular in recent years, giving the opportunity to people of any fitness level to get out and compete to the best of their abilities. It consists of a series of eight 1-kilometer runs. However, after completing one run, the athletes have to finish another exercise before advancing to their next run. The exercises between the runs are: ski erg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jump, rowing, kettlebell farmer carry, sandbag walking lunge, and finally wall balls.
Tia-Clair Toomey has not neglected CrossFit, as she has completed all three Open workouts. While there is no doubt that doing both sports has made the Open more difficult for her, Tia-Clair has still performed well. So, she will probably get the work done and pave her way to the CrossFit Games in true Tia-Clair fashion.

She has not talked about her long-term goals but has revealed that she is enjoying the experience. It is safe to say that becoming a World Champion in Hyrox would further cement her legacy.
