Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr shared an update on YouTube, opening up on her second pregnancy and expectations for the future. While the competitive fire clearly remains, Tia-Clair prioritizes her personal life, spending time with her child and caring for the ongoing pregnancy. However, she also touched on the topic of CrossFit, potential retirement, and the return to the sport.
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and her partner welcomed their first child back in 2023, after which she returned to CrossFit and reclaimed her Fittest Woman On Earth title. However, her absence from the 2025 Rogue Invitational brought up some questions. Shortly after, Tia-Clair revealed that she is expecting her second child.

Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr’s Plans For The Future
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr’s competitive spirit is still very much active, best shown by her recent experience. Tia-Clair competed as a part of a relay team at the 2025 Hyrox Melbourne. However, she still looked toward the Elite Individual division, which got her heart pumping. So, it is certain that she will continue living an active life after the pregnancy, but she still has not planned at what level that will be.
“I was watching the Elite 15 racing this weekend at the Melbourne Major Hyrox and that definitely got me excited and thinking, ‘Oh man, I can’t wait to, you know, get back to running and all that good stuff.’ But, I really haven’t actually planned any further than just kind of getting through the pregnancy, having the baby, and then enjoying the process.”
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has learned from her first pregnancy, as she recognizes that she rushed to get back to the competition floor. Excessive activity and exertion resulted in a lower milk supply, which she ideally wants to avoid this time. Moreover, getting back to the competition floor will not be as easy, as she will have two kids to care for.

“I was so keen and eager to get back to competition as quickly as possible with Willow and I definitely don’t have any regrets. I really loved that process and I enjoyed it but I did have to rush certain things where I had, well, I had no choice in the matter, but my milk supply when I was breastfeeding with Willow because I was training so much. I only lasted 6 months breastfeeding Willow. So hopefully that is a little bit longer and I get to enjoy that process a little bit more. I suppose I probably will just be taking my time enjoying being in the present.”
Apart from her pregnancy, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr is also mindful of how this break from competing at the highest level is positively affecting her health. She also notes that it is not just physical, as she is enjoying the mental rest, being able to focus on something else. She previously accomplished this goal by trying out different sports, but pregnancy is definitely even more special.
“I definitely believe that these moments in my life where I take a break from competition are so important. Not just physically because it’s good to have a rest, but mentally more so than anything, because I think I’ve been doing it for so long, and even though we are still immersed in this every single day, from a competitive standpoint it’s really nice to actually have a break and focus on something different.”
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr also said something that will excite the fans, stating that it is very hard to retire from CrossFit, as it is a lifestyle. The speculation about her retirement has been circulating for seasons now, but Tia-Clair continued competing through it all. So, hope remains that she will return once again and continue chasing the ninth and tenth Fittest Woman On Earth titles. However, she did note that “being a mom far outweighs being a champion.”
“I think I can safely say I will not be dropping off the face of the earth. I just love this way too much to do something like that. CrossFit is one of the hardest sports to retire from because it’s a lifestyle. Regardless of if I’m going to be competing competitively, I’m still going to be training. I’m still going to be doing something related to fitness. And so, I might as well share that journey.”
