The 2020 Wodapalooza CrossFit Sanctional event goes down this weekend. Ahead of the contest, fans are buzzing about a matchup between two of the best in the sport: Tia-Clair Toomey and Sara Sigmundsdottir.
Wodapalooza is the biggest event of the Sanctional season any year, but the 2020 competition is perhaps the biggest to date. Athletes from around the world will arrive to compete for their shot at entry into the 2020 CrossFit Games. Among those competitors, is Tia-Clair Toomey, and Sara Sigmundsdottir.

Toomey is one of the greatest female CrossFit athletes of all time and the three-time winner of the CrossFit Games. On the other hand, Sigmundsdottir is the winner of the CrossFit Open, and one of the best athletes not to have won the contest. She has really set herself apart, as one of the fittest people on Earth, but fails to fully perform when it comes time for the CrossFit Games.
So when these two meet, it will be a big test to see which one is able to rise above the other. Although logic dictates that Toomey, who is the defending Wodapalooza champ, will continue to reign supreme among the other ladies. However, Sara is a bit of a wild card, in the sense that she really seemed to have turned a corner in recent events, stepping her game up significantly. Ultimately it will come down to who can have a better showing that weekend, but regardless it is a sight that fans are excited to see.
What else can fans expect from Wodapalooza 2020?
Apart from Toomey and Sigmundsdottir, the rest of the competition is sure to be stacked. Mat Fraser, the Fittest Man on Earth, will not be competing at this event. However, Noah Ohlsen, who has come second to Fraser last year, and Pat Vellner, who came second the year before, will be competing at Wodapalooza. This will see another exciting clash, with these two men looking to both find a way to beat the seemingly unbeatable Fraser at the 2020 CrossFit Games.
All in all, the Wodapalooza 2020 event will surely be one of the most exciting all year. Fans from around the world will be watching earnestly, while these competitors do their best to taste victory.
