Urs Kalecinski has set his sights on the reigning Classic Physique powerhouse Chris Bumstead as he finalizes prep. In a recent YouTube video, Kalecinski showcases his honed physique just days before taking the stage.
The German bodybuilder Urs Kalecinski has made waves since hitting the sport with his crisp conditioning and golden-era look. At just 21 years old, Kalecinski earned his IFBB Pro card in 2019. Though 2020 had the world standing still because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the young buck worked diligently on his physique behind the scenes and it paid off in spades.
In 2021, Urs Kalecinski achieved momentum with a blend of consistency and hard work. First, he competed in the Extreme Bodybuilding and Fitness Pro where he came in second then won at the Tampa Pro, earning his first ticket to the coveted Olympia Stage.
While many doubted how ‘The Miracle Bear’ would hold up against some of the biggest names in the Classic Physique division including Chris Bumstead and Terrence Ruffin, Kalecinski impressed everyone when he secured fourth place at the 2021 Mr. Olympia.

Urs Kalecinski Is Coming In Hot For The 2023 Mr. Olympia Boasting A Shredded Physique
This year, Urs Kalecinski’s momentum hasn’t slowed down as he placed second at the 2023 Arnold Classic. ‘The Miracle Bear’ has been training side by side with his biggest competitor Cbum and it shows. In a recent physique update, Urs Kalecinski showed off his stage-ready physique just days from the 2023 Mr. Olympia.
Check out his physique update below:
Urs Kalecinski is facing some tough competition in his bid for the Classic Physique championship. The reigning four-time champion is just one of the many obstacles he has to overcome, as he is also up against two-time Arnold Classic winner Terrence Ruffin and reigning Arnold Classic champion Ramon Rocha Queiroz.
It’s no mystery that Urs Kalecinski faces a tall task at the nearing 2023 Olympia. Bumstead has held the throne for years with no signs of slowing down. He even won Olympia in Classic Physique last year with a torn bicep.
News broke earlier this year about new weight and height restrictions in the Classic Physique category. The change was meant to benefit shorter competitors but even Kalecinski got a boost to his maximum weight. He hopes to use the extra few pounds as a weapon on the big stage.
Given Urs Kalecinski’s knack for achieving a shredded physique, many believe he stands a solid shot at a huge upset this weekend. Athletes rep Bob Cicherillo has gone on record predicting that the German standout will dethrone Cbum.
