The pressure is mounting as the 2023 Mr. Olympia is just under two weeks away. There is so much potential in the Men’s Open and everyone is sharing their opinion on who has what it takes to come out on top. This includes bodybuilding veteran Zack Khan who revealed his Mr. Olympia predictions on YouTube during an interview with Muscular Development Magazine.
This year’s Men’s Open lineup is filled with impeccable physiques loaded with beastly muscularity. Last year was a monumental show where fans saw the former two-time title holder Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay fall to fifth place. Now, the reigning Mr. Olympia, Hadi Choopan has a target on his back as everyone has their eye on the throne.
Competitors such as Derek Lunsford, Nick Walker, and Samson Dauda are all being considered among the bodybuilding community as more and more predictions come in. However no one seems to be in agreement as to which of these men has what it takes to overthrow Hadi Choopan, or if they can at all.
Bodybuilding Veteran Zack Khan Shares Who He Believes Will Be Crowned The Next Mr. Olympia
Retired Pro Zack Khan just chimed in on 2023 Olympia and who he thinks will cement themselves as the number one bodybuilder in the world.
“How I would like it to shape out, obviously Samson to win it. I would love Samson to win it. It would be good for him because at the end of the day he’s older than the rest of the guys and he’s made the most improvements. I can see him winning it, you know. If everything is right, I can see him winning it no doubt. It’s like, he’s got a lot of going for his physique.”
“People talk about his back. Yes, listen, how many poses are you going to see his back on, rear double biceps, he’s got a nice lat spread, so he can compare to anybody in that. He’s got good glute-hamstring tie ins, maybe because he’s darker skin you weren’t able to see his glutes or the feathers compared to the lighter skin guys,” said Zack Khan.
“I want to see an Open guy who looks like an Open guy be Mr. Olympia. I would like to see a Mr. Olympia back up at 5’10 again and above.”
“I would love Samson to win it. I would love to see Andrew Jacked up there. Like I said, if you’re doing fantasy bodybuilding, yeah, then I would like to see all the taller guys up there.”
“Bodybuilding is a business. It’s always been a business. The person who is going to win is going to be the one who’s best for the business,” shared Khan.
“How do I account for Hadi? Because you got to remember… he’s following what is in the Middle East, it’s crazy. Really? They couldn’t give it to Derek because Hadi was too ahead of him. No, they gave it to the most marketable person on the day and in the Middle East, Ramy was the most marketable, and the second-most marketable in the Middle East is Hadi.”
