Fast & Furious feud just exploded after Tyrese Gibson threatened to quit the movie franchise unless Dwayne Johnson was removed. He also made shocking references to steroid abuse and protecting his family.
Actor Tyrese Gibson extended an October feud with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson into November by telling his 9 million-plus Instagram followers that he may exit a “Fast 9” project if the Clown ‘Dwayne Johnson’ is involved. Mr. Gibson launched into an expletive-laced tirade that touched on a custody battle with his ex-wife and the claim that Mr. Johnson uses steroids.
“Hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe,” the actor wrote. “I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne [sic] is in Fast 9 there will no more Roman Peirce [sic] — You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours. Close your eyes dude you’re a “Clown” #CandyA—B–h Made All my real one…

The Instagram post mentions both The Rock and fellow co-star Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto. Tyrese wrote:
“Notice who’s got his arms around my shoulder and who’s standing alone — #OurChildrenMatter,”
Gibson added:
“I just got a problem with Dwayne, it appears that he’s being selfish. It appears that he’s so focused on furthering his own self-interest. He’s making decisions from the seat he is sitting in… it’s f***ed up.”
In a previous post from Oct. 4, he criticized The Rock for negotiating a “Fast and Furious” spinoff movie with Jason Statham, who plays the character, Deckard Shaw in the movie.
“Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU,” the actor wrote. “And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah … it’s about #TeamDewayne.”
It seems unlikely that Tyrese Gibson will achieve his aim of ousting Johnson, who is a much bigger star, from the franchise.
The Fast and Furious franchise has been a boon to Universal Pictures. The last two installments have each pulled in over $1 billion in global box-office receipts.
What do you make of this continued beef between Tyrese Gibson and The Rock?
