Athletes from the Men’s Physique division brought their best to the 2023 Musclecontest International Goiania Pro in Goiania, Brazil on August 12. This show served as a 2023 Mr. Olympia qualifier.
The Mr. Olympia show was moved to November 2-5 this year. Competitors have until October 9 to grant their passage on the sport’s biggest stage. The point system is no longer being used, making it harder to earn passage. With a new Men’s Physique weight cap being implemented after Olympia, fans are curious how the looks will change on stage.
The prejudging rounds and finals were filled with fireworks. Rafael Oliveira emerged with the victory after a tough few comparisons. He will have the chance to face the reigning Men’s Physique Olympia Erin Banks later this year.
