The 2023 Musclecontest International Rio Pro was one of six bodybuilding events taking place this weekend (August 26) in the IFBB Pro League. This show was an Olympia qualifier in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and featured athletes from the Bikini division.
Bodybuilders are running out of time to ensure their qualifications for this year’s Olympia show, taking place from November 2-5, in Orlando, Florida. This mega event will be housed inside the Orange County Convention Center.
Unlike seasons prior, the point system has been removed. Therefore, athletes who wish to guarantee passage to Olympia must win a Pro show before October 9. After a heated battle with plenty of comparisons, Maria Alexsandra Santos Rocha walked away victorious. In light of her big win, she will have the chance to face the reigning Bikini Olympia Maureen Blanquisco in approximately two months.
