The 2024 Romania Muscle Fest Pro took place from November 9-10 in Cluj, Romania, featuring competitors from nine bodybuilding divisions: Men’s 212 Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s Open Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Bikini, Women’s Bodybuilding, Figure, Women’s Physique, and Wellness — all of whom fought for cash prizes and 2025 Mr. Olympia qualifications.
In 2023, mass monster Samson Dauda secured gold at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro and then went on to win his maiden 2024 Mr. Olympia title. Suffice it to say, that this show holds special significance for athletes in the IFBB Pro League.
Dauda didn’t compete in Romania over the weekend, therefore, a new champion was crowned when the dust settled. The headlining Men’s Open roster was packed with top-caliber threats including 2024 Olympia eighth-place finisher Rafael Brandao, as well as tenth-place finisher Akim Williams. Horse MD (Marcello De Angelis) was also on stage aiming to do damage.

2024 Romania Muscle Fest Pro Results & Scorecards
Men’s Open Bodybuilding
In the headlining act, Brazil’s Rafael Brandao brought a well-rounded package. With added mass, tremendous lines, and improved definition he stood out from the moment he appeared on stage. He last competed in eighth place at the 2024 Mr. Olympia contest and has only made strides in his physique since that event.
Akim Williams was another on-paper frontrunner to win. This was easily his best package to date, which showcased ab improvements and his signature biceps. Having placed 10th at the 2024 Mr. Olympia, he stood a solid shot at pulling off gold. However, Rafael Brandao’s back detail and conditioning were too much for the judges to overlook, leading to a first-place finish. Akim Williams took second and Emir Omergaic took third.
