The 2025 Detroit Pro lit up Dearborn, Michigan, on Saturday, March 29, as fans witnessed a stacked lineup in both the Men’s Open and Classic Physique divisions. This Olympia-qualifying event brought out some of the biggest names on the IFBB Pro League circuit, all vying for their ticket to the sport’s grandest stage—Mr. Olympia, taking place October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the Olympia qualification period running from September 16, 2024, to September 14, 2025, every event counts, and the Detroit Pro did not disappoint. Only the winner from each division qualifies—and if a qualified athlete wins, no runner-up receives an automatic invite.
Men’s Open: Bonac Reclaims His Momentum
William Bonac Wins 2025 Detroit Pro, Punches Olympia Ticket in Dominant Return
The Men’s Open lineup featured 15 athletes, including 2025 Arnold Classic veterans William Bonac, James Hollingshead, and Sasan Heirati, all considered frontrunners heading into the weekend.
William Bonac, a two-time Arnold Classic champion and 2019 Olympia runner-up, made his Detroit Pro debut with authority. After placing fifth at this year’s Arnold Classic, Bonac returned with sharper conditioning and signature muscle density to edge out a stacked lineup and secure the top spot—and his Olympia qualification.
“The Conqueror” is officially back in the Olympia conversation.
