The 2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman featured a six-event showdown on August 25-26 in Las Vegas, Nevada, to determine the top strength athletes in the country. The contest brought together 12 men and seven women across two stacked divisions. When the dust settled, Martel Johnson earned the title in the men’s division, while Inez Carrasquillo took first place in the women’s category.

Both champions put on impressive performances to seal their victories. Johnson built his win on steady high finishes and two individual event victories. Carrasquillo delivered a completely dominant performance, claiming top honors in five out of the six events to cruise to the overall win.

Event One — Max Log Lift

The first event of the 2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman competition set a simple goal for the athletes, as they had to achieve the heaviest Log Lift possible. So, the athletes got multiple attempts to set a one-rep max, which was then ranked by heaviest weight lifted.

Evan Singleton took the win in the Max Log Lift by pressing 420 pounds (190.5 kilograms). Roy Orrantia and Tim Buck were not far behind him, as they shared second place after both locking out 410 pounds (186 kilograms).

Inez Carrasquillo won the women’s event with a 324-pound (147-kilogram) lift, which marked a new World Record. Morgan Irons finished in second place by locking out 300 pounds (136 kilograms), while Destiney Bass rounded out the top three with a 250-pound (113.5-kilogram) press.

Event Two — Hummer Tire Deadlift

The second event of the 2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman was the Hummer Tire Deadlift. The men had to complete three reps of 363 kilograms (800 pounds), two reps of 408 kilograms (900 pounds), and finally one rep of 453.5 kilograms (1,000 pounds). On the other hand, the women took on an identical challenge, with the only difference being the weights used, as they pulled 227 kilograms (500 pounds), 261 kilograms (575 pounds), and 295 kilograms (650 pounds), respectively.

Martel Johnson secured the win in the deadlift by pulling 6 reps in 30.02 seconds. Joshua Ficklin took second place right behind him with 6 reps, which he achieved in 31.30 seconds, thus trailing Johnson by 1.28 seconds. Roy Orrantia placed third as the only other athlete to complete 6 reps, achieving the score in 37.85 seconds.

Morgan Irons won the event as the only woman to hit 6 reps, completing them in 58.20 seconds. Destiney Bass took second place with 5 reps in 22.30 seconds, while Jasmine McNeer finished third with 4 reps in 30.34 seconds.

Event Three — Shield Carry

For event three, the competitors at the 2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman competition had to pick up a heavy shield-shaped implement and carry it for maximum distance possible without dropping it. It proved to be a true test of power, endurance, and mental determination, resulting in some interesting performances.

Roy Orrantia won the Shield Carry with an impressive 50.9-meter distance, absolutely crushing all of his rivals. Jonathan Kilen claimed second place by covering 46.81 meters, beating the third-place finisher Beau Bathery, who crossed 41.71 meters.

Inez Carrasquillo blew past the field to win the event with a massive 47.85-meter carry. Morgan Irons finished second with a distance of 20.12 meters, which proved just how dominant Inez was. Morgan was followed closely by Taylor Doxley in third with 17.68 meters.

Event Four — Carry & Press

Moving on to the fourth event of the competition, the men and women faced four implements. They first had to carry a heavy frame, followed by a keg press and a sandstone press. Finally, they concluded the event by carrying the frame once again.

Women: 236-kg (520-lb) frame carry for 6 meters, 68-kg (150-lb) sandstone press, 79-kg (174-lb) keg press, 236-kg (520-lb) frame carry for 6 meters

The 2025 Strongest Man On Earth, Evan Singleton, blazed through the Carry & Press to take first place with a time of 22.44 seconds. Beau Bathery was the next quickest man, crossing the finish line in second at 26.53 seconds. Martel Johnson rounded out the top three with a time of 27.24 seconds.

Inez Carrasquillo earned another event win by completing the course in 21.09 seconds, with which she increased her lead. Morgan Irons pushed her hard but had to settle for second place with 22.66 seconds, while Destiney Bass placed third with a time of 27.98 seconds.

Event Five — Sandbag Toss

The penultimate event of the competition was the Sandbag Toss. As a part of that, the men and women had to toss five implements over a beam. Men’s sandbags ranged in weight from 18-kg (40-lb) to 25-kg (55-lb), while the women’s implements started at 11-kg (24-lb) and ended with a 16-kg (35-lb) sandbag. The men’s beam was set slightly higher than the women’s.

Evan Singleton claimed his second consecutive event win in the Sandbag Toss by clearing all five bags over the bar in 13.64 seconds. Tim Buck secured second place, having completed the event in 15.41 seconds, while Trotter Barringer locked up third place with 5 bags in 16.93 seconds.

Inez Carrasquillo dominated another event, getting all five bags over in 17.32 seconds. Taylor Doxley grabbed second place, finishing the event nearly three seconds after Inez. Morgan Irons took third place by being the only athlete to toss 4 bags.

Event Six — Atlas Stones

The 2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman competition wrapped up with the Atlas Stones. So, the men were tasked with picking up and loading six stones weighing from 150-kg (330-lb) to 186-kg (410-lb). The women had the same task, but their weights ranged from 113-kg (249-lb) to 136-kg (300-lb).

Martel Johnson sealed his overall victory by winning the stone run, loading all six stones in 27.86 seconds. Tim Buck took second place, having loaded all stones in 32.84 seconds. Beau Bathery placed third, as he was the only other man to complete the entire stone series.

Inez Carrasquillo capped off her contest by winning the final event, loading all six stones in 46.59 seconds. Taylor Doxley was the only other competitor to load six stones, but she was over 20 seconds slower than Inez. Morgan Irons placed third with five stones in 66.72 seconds
