5- Neck
You may not think that a strong neck is an important part of your overall fitness, but you’d be wrong! Neck strength isn’t only vital for mixed martial artists and wrestlers, but it plays a central role in your posture. Strong neck muscles will keep your head and upper back erect as you walk, move, and lift. It can protect your head from injuries in case of an accident, and will help to give you that “sloped shoulder” look you want. Exercises like Shrugs and Deadlifts will work your neck muscles along with your traps and shoulders.

These muscles may be small, but they’re VERY important! Pay attention to them when you train, and you will be much fitter and stronger overall.
