Jon Jones To Chuck Liddell: ‘Come Get It’

48-year-old UFC hall of fame fighter Chuck Liddell isn’t done with his MMA fighting career just yet.  The former UFC Light Heavyweight champion announced on Monday’s MMA Hour; that he is officially coming out of retirement and is in negotiation to take part in a trilogy fight against a rival, Tito Ortiz, later this year. Liddell said:

“I will fight again, yeah, if we can get a deal together with somebody that makes sense, yeah.”

Liddell said after he gets through Tito Ortiz, his ultimate goal is to secure a fight against former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

In response to Chuck Liddell challenge, Jon Jones says he is here for that, Jones wrote on Twitter,  the legendary fighter can “come get it” if that’s what he wants.

In the 2nd tweet, Jones wrote Liddell “might want to test the strength of that jaw” before any kind of bout happens:

Chuk Liddell had a dominant run as champion until a left hook by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 71 ended his time at the top of the UFC’s notorious deepest division.

Chuck Liddell (21-8) was knocked out in his last three UFC fights and after his loss to Rich Franklin at UFC 115 he announced the retirement from the Octagon.
