Dana White: I’ll speak to Conor McGregor this weekend about his future
The UFC boss Dana White is planning to sit down with his biggest star this weekend to discuss McGregor’s possible return to the UFC, White told ESPN on Wednesday.
White told ESPN:
“WE’RE GOING TO SIT DOWN AND TALK ABOUT HIS FUTURE AND WHAT’S NEXT.”
Off course, The Notorious still has to deal with legal issues after his alleged attack at UFC 223 media day in Brooklyn on April 5. McGregor was charged with three counts of assault and one of criminal mischief and due to return to a New York courtroom June 14. Dana White said:
“I have nothing to do with the legal issues, he’ll need to figure that out on his own.”

McGregor’s last fight in the UFC was against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in November 2016. He was supposed to meet with White in Brooklyn in April before the incident occurred.
Now, White and McGregor, we’ll meet on the weekend of the UFC Liverpool card featuring Stephen Thompson vs. Darren Till, as White tries to get a read on where McGregor’s head is, professionally.
“Obviously, he has to deal with [his legal situation] in June,” White said. “I’m flying to Liverpool this weekend for a fight there, and he and I are going to meet in Liverpool.”
Hopefully, Dana and Conor can clear things up and find a way to get “The Notorious” back in the cage sooner than later.
