Tito Ortiz knockout Chuck Liddell To Win The Trilogy Fight
A former UFC light heavyweight champions and UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz squared off for the third time in the light heavyweight contest at Golden Boy MMA’s inaugural event which is happening now (Sat., Nov. 24, 2018) from inside The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Liddell and Tito fought twice back in 2004 and 2006. Both time “The Iceman” defeated Ortiz via stoppage. Liddell had not competed since his first-round knockout loss to Rich Franklin back in 2010. Meanwhile, Ortiz, last fought back in 2017 when he scored a submission win over Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170.
Ortiz makes his way to hexagon flaunting the red gloves with black trunks. Meanwhile, Liddell is sporting blue gloves and icy blue trunks for tonight’s main headliner bout.
Tito moves forward to the center of the cage. Chuck Liddell finds his pace. Tito Ortiz tries to hunt ‘the Iceman.’ Ortiz strikes with a lead leg kick. Both fighters exchange a few combinations but neither land anything vital.
Liddell misses out an overhand right. ‘The Iceman’ consumes a left jab to the nose. Ortiz continues to find a home for his left jab but instantly falls after missing a straight right. Ortiz opens a mighty blow to the jaw of Liddell, sending him dropping to the canvas. Wow, what a performance by Ortiz.
Ortiz won via first round knockout at 4:24 of round one.
