The Rocky character has officially been retired but the story will continue while appealing even more to a newer generation.
There comes an end to everything at some point, which is now the case of the Rocky Balboa story. Sylvester Stallone is passing the torch to the young established movie star in Michael B. Johnson.
Stallone made a farewell speech to the character and welcomed a younger generation to extend upon the story…
“I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide world for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for the last 40 years. It’s been my ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, sadly all things must pass… and end. I love you kind and generous people, and the most wonderful thing of all, is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you.”

Stallone posted this to his Instagram, and his appreciation for the movie franchise was apparent through his expression of gratitude for the support throughout the years of his career.
“I thought rocky was over in 2006 and I was very happy with that, then all of the sudden this young man presented himself and the whole story changed” Stallone said referring to Michael B. Jordan…
Sylvester Stallone then goes on to say how the new story (Referring to the “Creed” movie franchise) will open up a whole new world for this generation.
The story of Rocky will never be forgotten as it has inspired so many people to never quit and give life “all you got” to overcome the biggest of challenges.
