The Schedule is Here for the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic

 Arnold Strongman Classic 2019 details!

It’s here! The schedule for the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic has been released to the public and you can read all the details. The event will take place in Columbus, Ohio at the Arnold Sports Festival and it will again conclude the Arnold Strongman Pro World Series as the finals.

Last year (2018) Hafthor Bjornsson took the title after blowing away the competition of which he took home $72,000 USD and the Rogue Elephant Bar World Record as a result of his phenomenal performance.

Competitors who will participate at the Arnold Strongman Classic:

The official athletes who have qualified so far have done so by winning an Arnold Classic associated competition in 2018, the Forts Warwick competition or a top 2 placing in the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series.

These seven athletes have qualified so far (Although there are three spots open).

  1. Hafthor Bjornsson (Iceland) – 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic USA Champion
  2. Rauno Heinla (Estonia) – 2018 Arnold Classic Australia Champion
  3. Oleksii Novikov (Ukraine) – 2018 Arnold Amateur World Champion
  4. Mikhail Shivlyakov (Russia) – 2018 Arnold Classic South America Champion
  5. Jean-Francois Caron (Canada)  – 2018 Arnold Classic Africa Champion
  6. Brian Shaw (USA) – 2018 Forts Warwick Champion
  7.  Martins Licis (USA) – 2018 Arnold Classic Europe Champion

The other three open spots will go to the winners of the 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman (1 spot) and the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series (2 spots).

Here is the official schedule of the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic:

Date: Friday, March 1st

Event 1: Rogue Elephant Bar

  • Time of event: 3:00 – 4:45 p.m.
  • Location: Arnold Fitness Expo Stage

This event is a true test of physical and mental strength, as athletes will have to deadlift a 340kg/751 lbs bar (Rogue Fitness special-made Elephant Bar) and the weight will increase until a competitor prevails over the rest.

Event 2: Husafel Stone Carry

  • Time of event: 4:15 – 5:15 p.m.
  • Location: Arnold Fitness Expo Stage

Each competitor will have to bring their best strength and endurance abilities in order to carry the 186kg/410 lb for a grueling, maximum distance.

DATE: Saturday, March 2nd

Event 3: Conan’s Wheel of Pain

  • Time of event: 1 – 2 p.m.
  • Location: Hall B

 Event 4: The Austrian Oak

  • Time of event: 3 – 4 p.m.
  • Location: Arnold Fitness Expo Stage

Athletes must press a massive man-made log (Austrian Oak) of 195kg/430 lbs overhead for maximum reps.

Fifth event: Stone to Shoulder

  • Time of event: Approximately 9 p.m.
  • Location: Batelle Grand

Athletes must lift a 186kg/410 lb stone up on their shoulder for as many reps as possible.

Be sure to grab your seats quickly because it will be a packed house, considering the big names in Strongman will be competing for massive bragging rights and the title of 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic champion. It’ll be a tough competition ahead but who will come out on top? Will Hafthor Bjornsson dominate once again or will he give up the title? Either way, it’ll be an exciting battle!
