What this means for the CrossFit Organization.
Several employees will have to find work elsewhere after CrossFit Lays off more than 20 people in an effort to streamline its operations. This layoff took place on Tuesday and Tyson Oldroyd (Media Management) along with Rory McKernan (CrossFit Host) who have been an integral part of the organization have been let go.

The spectacle was beautiful, the test was true, the coordinated hard work by dozens of teams who needed to stay in synch was near perfect, and the pure grit displayed by the best athletes in the world was nothing short of inspirational. That said, with my 11th Games now in the books, my favorite part was still what these gatherings truly represent, and that’s that we are a global community made up of exceptional human beings who are bonded by a commitment to healthy living. I walk away from this year’s Games more proud than ever to call myself a CrossFitter. To each person I was lucky enough to work with, thank you so much for the amazing effort. You know who you are. #crossfit #crossfitgames ? @martinflowersss
So how will CrossFit execute on their new optimistic vision for the sport with so little staff? They will have to figure it out and many people are expecting no less than a stellar future for CrossFit. Dave Castro will still be involved with the operations and development of CrossFit in 2019.
Hopefully, they do not disappoint and will still be able to arrange the events as impressive as prior years. The CrossFit Open kicks off next week and we can only look forward to the coming event.
