Conor McGregor is possibly the most popular face in mixed martial arts; who quickly became an icon in the UFC after a very impressive fight record and larger than life personality. He won the feather and lightweight title which really made him stand out as a new generation phenom and his reputation skyrocketed.
But unfortunately, he seems to make bad decisions which question the longevity of his successful career as a professional fighter.
McGregor was arrested on Monday in Miami Beach after he destroyed and stole a phone from a man taking pictures of him outside the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel. He’s facing two felony charges for strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief of $1,000 or more and those came with bonds of $7,500 and $5,000.
McGregor’s report states the following regarding the incident…
“The victim and the defendant were exiting the Fountainbleau hotel and the victim attempted to take a picture of the defendant with his cell phone. The defendant slapped the victim’s phone out of his hand, causing it to fall to the floor.
The defendant then stomped on the victim’s phone several times, damaging it. The defendant then picked up the victim’s phone and walked away with it, depriving him of it. Victim stated the phone was valued at $1,000. The defendant was located and arrested.”

Conor Mcgregor has an ever-increasing history of altercations which have landed him in trouble a few times. He’s unable to compete until April and has had to perform community service at several churches to clear the charges of when he threw a dolly into a bus full of fighters targeting Khabib Nurmagomedov (Lightweight champion).
Then McGregor had to fight Khabib for the lightweight title in October last year but was submitted and the two fighters got into a big altercation which caused both to become suspended.
But now it’s uncertain as to McGregor’s near future after his arrest and the UFC has not yet commented on the situation.
