Mat Fraser Vs Tia Clair Toomey

The three-time men’s CrossFit champion Mat Fraser and two-time women’s CrossFit champion Tia-Claire Toomey will face each other in Miami on March 21 after the CrossFit Open 19.5 announcement, and it doesn’t get any more exciting than this! Both athletes won last year’s CrossFit Games for the men and women categories but now, we get to see who’s the pound for pound best during Open competition.

Mat Fraser won the CrossFit Games in 2016, 2017 and 2018 after placing second in 2014 and 2015. He hates losing and we may see him rule men’s CrossFit for many years to come. On the other hand, Tia-Claire Toomey was the runner up in the 2014 and 2015 CrossFit women’s competition before winning the title in 2017 and 2018. But she’s looking stronger than ever right now heading into the 19.5 workout…

Tia-Claire Toomey will compete in the 2019 CrossFit Games as well and she is a powerhouse of an athlete out of Australia. She will be looking to have her best year yet and repeat her title reign as the best female CrossFit athlete in the world.
