If you haven’t hit a PR in a while, maybe it’s time to take some motivation from India’s Arshia Goswami, who is seemingly getting stronger by the day. Despite her small stature, nine-year-old Goswami recently showcased her power with a 165-pound deadlift, where she pulled more than three times her body weight.

In her Instagram video, which has been viewed more than 48 million times, Arshia Goswami executed her deadlift PR with excellent form. At only nine years old, Goswami continues to captivate fans from around the world with her dedication to weightlifting and strength. Boasting over 750,000 followers on Instagram, Goswami has become a source of inspiration for anyone aiming to push the boundaries of their power.

While her 165-pound deadlift stands as her best right now, that wasn’t the case just a year ago. She previously pulled 132 pounds at eight years old and as a result, set an Asian record in weightlifting.

Even with evident resistance during her latest lift, Goswami grunted her way to the lock-out before pridefully dropping the barbell. With the caption under her lift reading ‘The youngest and strongest Indian,’ Goswami has no intention of slowing down in the weight room anytime soon.

Arshia Goswami isn’t the only youngster sporting next-level strength. ‘The World’s Strongest Schoolbody,’ Rowan O’Malley, can deadlift 281 pounds, squat 220 pounds, and holds a max bench press of 126.7 pounds. To fuel his head-turning lifts and active lifestyle, O’Malley regularly consumes a 3,000-calorie diet.

There has been considerable debate online about whether weight training is harmful to the development of children. While it is considered a myth that children will stunt their growth from weightlifting, many believe it’s important they lift lighter loads to avoid injuries and other health problems.

With Arshia Goswami setting PRs that some adults have yet to achieve, there is no denying her passion for exercise and her overall strength. Given her bright future, fans can look forward to more feats of strength on the horizon.
