Brian Shaw has been widely recognized as one of the strongest humans to ever live. So, many people wondered how he would fare against the ‘king of the jungle’. That is why the popular YouTuber Mr. Beast decided to challenge Brian Shaw to a tug-of-war against a lion.
In order to take part in the challenge, Brian Shaw went to South Africa, where Mr. Beast put up a custom cage that allowed for safe execution of the Tug-of-War. Before stepping in, Brian warmed up and put on the gear that he used during his Strongman days.
Once he entered the cage, Brian Shaw firmly gripped the rope, seemingly experiencing an overflow of energy. He was clearly excited to see how much power the lion holds, which ended up being a tense battle. The lion bit down on a piece of bone that was tied to the other end of the rope. Just like that, the duel started.
Brian Shaw used all of his power, constantly pulling and not giving the lion any slack. The lion also held his own, showing its intelligence and making the job harder for Brian in multiple ways. However, Brian still managed to take the win, moving inch-by-inch to cross the line.
“I want to say thanks to everybody on the Mr. Beast team, you know, for their hospitality, for setting it up, for doing all the hard work to make it happen, and for involving me in it. It was something pretty, pretty cool.”
