Did Larry Wheels bring a complete enough package to earn a pro card or is a decent placing even too out of reach for him?

The phenom Larry “Wheels” Williams meant serious business when he put on nine pounds of stage weight (268 pounds) to compete at the NPC Nationals.

Fans around the world and at the competition showed their support for Wheels and although he may not earn his pro card this year, his improvements since his first amateur competition are something to be extremely proud of.

Days before the NPC Nationals, Larry was looking huge and lean in an Instagram photo where you can clearly see his progress.

He looks really vascular and lean as he has evidently put on more size like he claimed.

Larry Wheels’ goal is to be the strongest bodybuilder in the world, and so far we can’t deny the fact that it could be a very realistic possibility. He’s the big “talk” right now and his impressive powerlifting accomplishments and record breaking performances have allowed him to transition into bodybuilding.

Here’s an Instagram post where Wheels’ describes his experience at the NPC Nationals…

The picture of him posing at the show received comments pertaining to “Photoshop” accusation but we know Larry looks impressive so it’d be hard to tell exactly. Plus, if it was Photoshopped it won’t help him any at the show.

So… how will Larry Wheels place at such a prestigious show?

It’s ultimately a decision for the judges and although he came in looking pretty good, his second show ever may prove to be too soon for hopes of earning a pro card. After all, he has quite a ways to go before he can even think about competing with and fairing well with the best of the best.

Many Instagram comments in response to Larry Wheels’ photos expressed less than desirable optimism for him to even crack the top ten…

It’s obviously realistic to think he’d have to work his way up considering the level of competition at the NPC Nationals, and the fact it’s it only his second show.

But… it’s anyone’s guess as to exactly how he will fair, however, he has a lot of support and a promising future regardless. Larry Wheels is a great story of perseverance and hopefully we will see him come back to compete again.
