Rudy Kadlub makes 505 lbs look easy as he prepares for the 2019 Masters Cup!

You won’t see many 70-year-olds pulling 229kg/505lbs for two singles but Rudy Kadlub is an obvious exception. Now, he turned 70 less than two weeks ago and this is his first 500+pound deadlift attempt since his birthday. But, Rudy Kadlub isn’t putting up these big numbers just for the heck of it, as he’s actually preparing for the Masters Cup in a few weeks where he’ll actually compete…

Kadlub is the co-founder for Kabuki Strength and it’s apparent he’s passionate about the lifting lifestyle as he’s been in the process of cutting from 220 to 198 lbs in an attempt to compete at a weight that would put him in the best position to win the competition.

Now, he’s had a recent injury and he’s working to rehab it so he can be healthy and well prepared for the Masters. But, watching his 505 pull, it’s hard to imagine he’s anything but ready to crush some big numbers!

The Instagram post had the following message… “This is what it means to be anti-fragile. Rudy @rudykadlub(Kabuki Strength Co-Founder) turned 70 only ten days ago, and just pulled 505 for two singles as he prepares for the Masters Cup in a few weeks. He’s also been cutting down from 220 to 198 the last few weeks, and had a L3-L4 injury last week that he’s been rehabbing with help from our in-house specialists.”

Now, last year when Kadlub was 69, he set four World records at the IPL tested World Championships with a 199kg/440.9lb and 204kg/451lb squat, a 137kg/303.1lb bench press, and a 235kg/518.1lb deadlift. These are impressive feats for anyone, let alone a 69-year-old man but this goes to show that you can accomplish incredible things at any age.

These records lifts are Kadlub’s best so far and hopefully, he can surpass these numbers at the Masters Cup in a few weeks where he will be competing in the 70-74 age division.

We have to assume Rudy Kadlub will break even more records this year, as he’s been training hard and is looking pretty impressive as of right now, especially if he can fully rehab his injuries in time for the Masters Cup. He’s a man on a mission and we hope he has an incredibly successful 2019 in an attempt to reach his biggest goals!
