You’ve probably seen Alan Thrall on YouTube, dropping facts and lifting knowledge. He’s the dude with Captain Caveman facial hair.
He’s also a gym owner and a former Marine! Check out his bio on the gym’s web page;
Alan is a Marine Corps veteran who served as a presidential security guard as well as a “World Famous” Body Bearer at Arlington National Cemetery.
During his stint in the Marine Corps Alan signed up for his first local amatuer Strongman competition and this sparked a competitive fire that has lead him to compete in many Strongman competitions as well as Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting meets.

His gym, Untamed Strength, is open 24h and offers some pretty amazing stuff; like Strongman specific training, powerlifting specific training and other cool things. Being as this is a commercial gym that runs 24 hours daily, there’s bound to be a lot of water bottles, energy drink cans and other recyclable stuff which most people would throw away and wouldn’t even bother with turning them in for cash.
Well, Alan did just that. Scavaged the gym bins for plastic bottles and cans and set himself up with a mission-trade this trash for cash. After he did just that, with a little help of video editing and Rogue store credit, he got himself a fancy new Rogue Westside Bench.
