Chris Duffin is known for being an incredibly strong powerlifter. Well, he was back at it again recently, with a massive squat set.
Duffin is one of the strongest pound-for-pound powerlifters in the world. When he was competing at 220lb, he set world records for most weight deadlifted in one minute, at 17,010lb (through 40 reps at 405lb). In addition to that, he garnered attention for being one of the few people able to squat over 900lb at this weight.
In fact, after hitting 900lb, Duffin has not slowed down at all. Moreover, he put this on display again recently, with an impressive Instagram video. The footage shows him hit a wild 970lb squat for two reps. For those bad at math, that is nearly four times his latest competition weight of 261lb! It was truly a top-notch performance from a man who never delivers less.

As he explains in the lengthy post, this training is en route for Duffin to hit a 1000lb triple. He is aiming for this goal, and this seems to be right on track. Furthermore, he reveals that this will be the last feat of strength that he tries to accomplish.
If Chris Duffin truly stops attempting big lifts after the 1,00lb triple, he will have had an amazing run. Either way, it will be exciting to see it happen.
