If you follow Strongmen on Instagram chances are, you have heard of the Hadge brothers by now. Zach competes regularly at the big stages such as WSM or Arnolds’ and owns an awesome-looking beard. Nick isn’t as famous as Zack and as far as I can gather from my google-skills he doesn’t really compete these days. Despite that, he is still insanely strong and much like the more famous brother-he is still a Hadge. This means; crazy deadlift numbers, ripped physique, and a great “crazy but swole homeless man” beard.
Today we will be talking about Nick as he has just hit a very fast 900lbs and comfortable looking deadlift without a suit on all while recovering from a longboarding accident from 3 weeks ago.

905 lb deadlift (no suit) *LIFETIME PR*
The people around me have enough confidence in me for me to have enough confidence in myself. It’s beautiful.

I fell off my longboard 3.5 weeks ago and haven’t deadlifted since then so this was an indicator day- it went well.

Also my mom was here today. The last time she saw me deadlift was when I set the junior world record deadlift at 815 in 2016. My team was there today as well. (Not all of my team) & I woke up uncontrollably focused. I placed my balisong in front of my bar.
Judging by the nasty shoulder burnout, I’d say he hit the ground fast and hard. Deadlifting a lifetime PR less than a month after getting scraped across, I’m assuming, concrete takes a tremendous amount of guts and mental strength.
This just begs the question, if he can do that, while still nursing some nasty bruising and hurting-what can he do when he isn’t recovering from getting turned into human grilled cheese?
