The 2020 CrossFit Games kicks off this weekend, in a new and unusual format. A few days before the start of the contest, the first six events have been revealed.
The format for this year’s CrossFit Games is certainly a unique one, as in-person competitions have been severely limited, due to the global pandemic. Therefore the folks at CrossFit HQ have put together a new format that will take place in two parts, an online qualifier and an in-person final with the top 5 male and female competitors. The finals will take place next month in Aromas, California, but the qualifiers begin this weekend, with 60 total athletes from around the world participating in their own homes or affiliates.
With Stage One of the 2020 CrossFit Games coming up, athletes and fans have been wondering what workouts they could expect. The weekend will see four Blocks of events, with each Block being made up for 2 workouts, except for Block Four. The CrossFit Games Instagram page revealed what the first two events would be, and shortly after, the next four were also revealed. The events are made up as follows:

Friendly Fran (3 Rounds, No Time Cap)
