American actor Alan Ritchson is already taking in some battle scars from his pending movie project. On April 3, 2025, he showed off his huge back and his latest chiropractor session during production for his next hit, Runner.
Alan Ritchson took the world by storm thanks to his efforts in the action-crime thriller Reacher. He plays the lead role of Jack Reacher, a former military policeman who travels the country confronting criminals. Thus far, there have been three seasons of Reacher, with the last installment released in late February 2025.
The hulking 42-year-old has taken his acting job seriously, which means paying close attention to the food he puts in his body as well as the training demands necessary to boast a big and ripped physique. He’s opened up previously on how he trains for aesthetics, along with his strict morning routine that helps him start each day feeling refreshed and ready for the pressures of filming.
Ensuring his physique is up to Hollywood’s standards is no easy feat. He recently walked through his intense full-body workout, which consisted of exercises like lunges, split squats, leg extensions, and heavy bench presses. In his latest film project, Runner, he portrays Parker, a man on the run who is forced into the dark world of drug smuggling, all while trying to protect his family.

Hollywood Star Alan Ritchson Shows Off Wound & Huge Back from the Set of Runner
In a recent Instagram post, Ritchson gave fans a look at his huge back and chiropractor session after some intense scenes for Runner.
“Day 4 Runner update. It’s gonna be a chiropractor kind of movie. My favorite kind,” Alan Ritchson shared on social media.
Ritchson has openly discussed taking testosterone replacement therapy. Some have suggested that he could have tried other options before resorting to it. Namely, celebrity trainer Don Saladino, who has helped other high-profile actors like Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds carve out impressive physiques.
“Fucking own it. He jumped on an interview and he’s like you know I just trained so hard for the last nine months that I just literally drained myself of all my testosterone. I literally beat it out of me and he’s sitting there and I’m like that’s what frustrates me.”
“First off, have you done everything in your power to do it naturally? The answer is no.”
Despite these concerns, it’s clear Alan Ritchson attacks training and diet carefully to bring his best on set. Fans look forward to seeing his new film, Runner, which has yet to announce an official release date.
