Ashton Rouska has been relatively inactive this year, making only one appearance at the start of the season. However, he recently returned to the competition floor for the 2025 SBD Austin, which took place on November 22nd in Texas. He showcased months’ worth of progress, having crushed a 381-kilogram (840-pound) Raw Squat Unofficial U105KG IPF World Record.
Ashton Rouska opened his performance with a massive 330-kilogram (727.5-pound) squat. Seeing that it moved incredibly easily, Ashton decided to load 370 kilograms (815.7 pounds) for his second attempt.
For his final attempt, Ashton Rouska increased the load to 381 kilograms (840 pounds). Competing in the raw division, Ashton was only allowed to use a lifting belt and knee sleeves. He then walked backwards with the bar on his back and took a few deep breaths to prepare for the lift.
Ashton Rouska’s squat was truly exciting, as he reached the required depth, which only started his battle to rise back up. He was moving slowly but remained determined to complete the lift. So, a few seconds later, Ashton reached full lockout and unofficially exceeded the IPF World Record.
*Ashton Rouska also holds the official U105KG Raw Squat IPF World Record of 375 kilograms (826.7 pounds), which he set at the 2025 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.
