There’s crazy and then there’s “Huck” Finn crazy. “Huck” is a beer-drinking, powerlifting, country music, and pro-wrestling loving powerlifter. According to openpowerlifting.org, his best total is 2028.2 lbs from 2015. meet where he had a 518lbs bench, 804 lbs squat and a 704 lbs( with him hitting 744lbs two years later) deadlift.
The insta-famous powerlifter does the craziest, most insane stuns under the sun. Bench pressing 3 plates while being waterboarded with moonshine and beer, tandem bench pressing, deadlifting in ice skates. You name-he’s done it, the crazier the idea gets the greater the chance of him realizing it becomes.
This time, he took things to another level with his latest and possibly most painful stunt ever. As the title of the article suggests, “Huck” Finn, fueled by Hulk Hogan’s theme song “Real American”, bench pressed 500lbs while laying on broken glass…without a shirt on.

As you could probably imagine, Huck Finn is out of his damn mind. Bench pressing on broken glass, who the hell does that? Please don’t attempt to recreate this because you will get hurt. Finn is a huge dude and is a powerlifter, this kinda allows him to get away with doing some of the wackiest stuff in the world.
However, performing stuff like this sets a dangerous standard for people who want the sweet sweet social media clout. Bench pressing regular weights isn’t enough anymore, you have to bench press at least 3 plates on each side for reps while performing some wacky and/or potentially life-threatening shenanigans.
And this is coming from a long time Huck Finn fan, I love his crazy ass and the stuff he does in his shed. He is absolute life goals! However, at a certain point, you gotta realize that someone is going to watch this video and try to up the ante with an even crazier stunt. What if an up and coming wannabe Instagram star sees this and says “pfff poser, I will lay on a bed of nails and do double the reps you did“?
What if the same wannabe Instagram powerlifter that badly wants a “bang energy” sponsorship or a “gym shark” endorsement” deal sees CT Fletcher curling while being set on fire and goes “yeah, well get a load of THIS“ and decides to squat 4 plates while standing on a set of dumbbells? Trust me it’s far more likely to happen that you would think. Instagram is littered with dudes balancing themselves and/or other objects on a set of dumbbells while performing a wacky calisthenics movement or some other kind of exercise.
So, please…don’t be an idiot and think you can top Huck Finn. Leave the insta-craziness to him, Jujimufu and other professional social media maniacs. Because trying to top them means that you will probably crash and burn in an epic stunt gone wrong. Then you will go viral for all the wrong reasons forcing me to write about you and I really don’t like writing articles that give stupid people free publicity.
