Bob Cicherillo and Shawn Ray shared their thoughts on Sarah Villegas’ PMMA accusations against Natalia Coelho, diving deep into the topic and commenting on multiple aspects of the controversy. However, one part of their debate caught the attention of Sarah Villegas, which prompted her to respond with a statement of her own on Instagram.

Bob Cicherillo’s Comments On Sarah Villegas

During his YouTube appearance, Bob Cicherillo clearly sided with Natalia Coelho, defending the reigning 2025 Women’s Physique Olympia champion from the standpoint of having no rules in the federation. Although he didn’t seem to believe the accusations of PMMA use, Bob also pointed out that it would be very hard to test for something like that or even notice it with a visual inspection. Moreover, he believes that the athletes should be allowed to do anything if it is not specifically prohibited in the rulebook.

However, Sarah Villegas’ attention was grabbed by another comment that was made by Bob Cicherillo. Specifically, he talked about how her accusations could cause trouble in future editions of the Olympia, as it could put the judges in a no-win position. Furthermore, he talked about how Sarah could use the situation to create a narrative of judges’ retribution in the case of another loss for her next year.

“Personally I think she (Sarah) is done, and I’ll tell you why.

I don’t think there is any coming back from this because of the very rational reasoning that, what do you do now? Do you come back the next year?

First of all, you clearly have now seen that the judges have made a decision, and you don’t agree with it, we don’t have any rules against it, so it is not going to stop. Let’s just say that she is doing whatever she is doing.

So, then you put yourself on the chopping block for next year. You are really putting yourself and the judges in a bad spot, because what happens next year now?

So if you go in next year and get your a** handed to you, now you are going to sit there and claim that it is retribution for you speaking out: ‘Well, it is because I said something. They are taking it out on me.’ So you are really putting yourself in a bad spot,” said Bob Cicherillo.

Sarah Villegas’ Response to Bob Cicherillo

Sarah Villegas turned to Instagram to reply to Bob Cicherillo. She reiterated that athletes get judged by the physique they bring to the stage, presumably indicating that she will not be forming any narratives about the judges’ retribution if she does not manage to reclaim her title next year.

“This was a very sloppy public statement by Bob. In bodybuilding people get judged by the physique they bring to stage. I don’t think Bob fully grasps what he just said publicly (but maybe he does)…Very very SLOPPY,” wrote Sarah Villegas on her Instagram story.

Sarah Villegas sent another message to Bob Cicherillo, saying that she does not value his personal opinion as much as he does. Moreover, she revealed that she will see him on the Olympia stage. Villegas did not conclude before responding to Shawn Ray either, sharing a remark about him wearing sunglasses indoors.
