Flex Wheeler made sad headlines when it was revealed that he was forced to have a partial amputation on his right leg. Following this sad news, the bodybuilding community has flooded him with messages of support.

Wheeler is widely regarded as a highly popular bodybuilder, having won the Arnold Classic four times. However in the latter part of his career, he began suffering serious health problems. Ultimately this is what would lead to his retirement from bodybuilding competition.

Nevertheless, these health issues culminated in a big way for Wheeler, late last week. He was rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery. Subsequently, following complications he was forced to get a partial amputation on his right leg.

After the procedure, Flex Wheeler has yet to make a formal statement. Although there was a post made to his Instagram, explaining the situation. That post then began to blow up with messages of support from members of the bodybuilding community.

2019 Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry ask fans to send love and prayers:

Send your love out and prayers up for the sultan of symmetry @officialflexwheeler as he recovers from his recent trip to the hospital. I don’t know one real bodybuilder or fan that doesn’t recognize the elite genetic gifts this man was given and worked hard to display as one of the best bodybuilders of all time on this planet. Let’s encourage him on his speedy recovery back to health and normalcy.

Flex Magazine share the following message:

We wanted to send a sincere thank you to all the fans for their well wishes yesterday for our dear friend @officialflexwheeler on a speedy recovery…

Fitness star Maryam Matti offered her prayers:

Mike Rashid also offered support to Wheeler:

Additionally, pro bodybuilder Eduardo Correa is keeping Wheeler in his prayers:

Kevin Levrone showed support as well:

Multiple time Mr. Olympia winner Phil Heath is also offering positive thoughts:

Bodybuilding icon 4x Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler is praying for Flex Wheeler:
