Chris Bumstead showed a lot of promise when he turned Pro at age 21 (2016). He was expected to win the Classic Physique competition at least once by now (Although 2nd place in 2017 and 2018 at the Olympia isn’t too shabby). But Bumstead is still super young and has plenty of time to hopefully make it to the very top. And if you see what he looks like right now, it’s possible things could turn around for the young Canadian very soon.

Here are a few of his recent inspirational Instagram posts …

Good days, bad days, great days, and shit days. It doesn’t matter, in prep every day is ground hogs day. And on those shit days those who can put in the same effort and show the same passion as on great days, those are the people who will be successful.”

He even made comparisons to different forms of a potato, but he certainly doesn’t look like a “flat little potato” in this post…

Some days you look like a flat little potato, then some days you look like shredded deep fried fully loaded potato french fries… Document those days.”
