The last several months have seen a massive increase in the skills of Christina Lazo. She took things up a notch again recently, after a super intense squat session in training.
At 32 years of age, Lazo has shown a constant level of improvement in her game. She started off her career with a mixed bag of results. However the last several months have seen her really begin to put together her skills, which has elevated her into the status of one of the best 57kg lifters in the world.
The fruits of this labor were again made evident recently, when Christina Lazo posted to her Instagram. Here she decided that she would share one of the lifts from her day of squat training. This set ended up being a massive 330lb squat, that she crushed for five strong reps.

The front squats mentioned are not in the post, but the squat set that Christina did hit was super impressive. The fifth rep that she went for was admittedly a bit of a struggle. Nevertheless, after a brief pause she went for the final rep, moving the weight at a smooth and stead pace. While it was clear that the final rep was not easy, she managed to persevere and finish the set.
Lazo has been working hard on her overall skills lately, not just her squats. Here she is in a training session a few days earlier, where she blew through a massive 352lb squat single. In addition to that, she hit a 214.5lb bench, and 374lb deadlift.
There is no doubt that at every step of the way, Christina Lazo is still improving and getting better. She has shown the skills needed to be elite, and continues to step her game up every time we see her. At this rate, there is no way you can deny how skilled she is, and that she is one of the best in the world at her weight class.
