A nice day at church with lots of good meetings. Conversations that touched on everything from worldly things to deep reflections about life's great challenges – And this short workout, between, to recharge the batteries. I belive it is important to find your thing that makes you gain energy and feel good. For me it is my training. A way to be more alert in life, and to endure. – This days workout was 4000m row Every 2 min break and do 8 2kb snatch
There are plenty of worst fates than looking like Hollywood’s current biggest heartthrob.
The New York Post reports
“There’s a new hot priest in town.
A swole Swedish clergyman has gained a devout online following thanks to his thirst-worthy workout videos and resemblance to “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth, reports the Daily Mail.
Oskar Arngården, who goes by @CrossFitPriest on Instagram, became an overnight sensation on social media, offering a mix of pious, clerically collared selfies and CrossFit training videos showing off his chiseled muscles.”
The newfound fame for Oskar would get so hectic, he would have to take to Instagram to fan the flames.
“The last couple of weeks have been really crazy. It has been fun, but also a little bit scary. I have noticed in myself that I am not at all comfortable with the attention that has been pointed to me as a person.”
“Sometimes I get questions about how I manage time between training and religion, and if my training doesn’t take time from more important stuff,” he wrote in a recent post. “But in some way I believe my training gives me more time for religion. It gives me endurance and strength to study more and to give more in my work as a priest. I think it is a mistake to make them opponents. Instead let them complement and contribute to each other.”
“We are both spiritual and bodily as human beings. Like for anyone else who trains for good health – it gives us not just positive result in training but also in our ordinary life. And thats a biological fact… So, my best tip if you want to have more energy for bible reading (or if their is anything else you want more energy for)… Try some training.”
All hail God of Thunder AKA CrossFit Priest BAE.
