Gavin Adin has recently claimed a mind-blowing achievement, having locked out a 337-kilogram (743-pound) Raw Squat IPF World Record. He achieved the amazing lift at the 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships, which proved to be an incredible competition, perhaps the best one in the history of powerlifting. It took place on February 10th, and Gavin Adin made sure to be one of the most prominent figures in this historic meet.

Gavin Adin has been chasing the Squat World Record for a very long time now. He has lifted more than the record on a few occasions, but his attempts were declared invalid due to the decisions of the judges at past competitions. However, Gavin made sure to do everything correctly at the 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships and thus take the matter into his own hands.

So, when Gavin Adin managed to lock out 331.5 kilograms (730.8 pounds) to break the record on his second attempt, he was overfilled with joy. However, it lasted for just a few minutes, as Carlos Petterson-Grifith squatted 332.5 kilograms (733 pounds) to strip Adin of his new record.

The battle was not done yet, since Gavin Adin loaded 337 kilograms (743 pounds) for his final squat attempt at the 2024 IPF Sheffield. With the record once again under his name, he waited to see what Carlos could lift on his final attempt. Luckily for Adin, Carlos was unsuccessful in squatting more weight.
