One of the biggest powerlifters from Great Britain is Inderraj Singh Dhillon, who is mostly known for his impressive deadlift strength. Inderraj has an official World Record under his name, which makes him one of the greatest powerlifters in the world. Well, he is working extremely hard with the intention of remaining in possession of the record. As a result, Inderraj’s recent training session featured one of the greatest moments of his career, as he locked out a 395-kilogram (870.8-pound) deadlift. The lift is not only massive, but it is also an Unofficial U120KG IPF World Record, meaning something of this kind was never done in a competition.
Inderraj Singh Dhillon’s humongous deadlift was in the lines of regulations regarding raw powerlifting. So, he did not use any equipment apart from a lifting belt to complete the 395-kilogram (870.8-pound) deadlift. He positioned his lifting belt higher up than most people do. He then planted his feet and set up a conventional stance, grabbed the bar with a mixed grip, and began lifting. Inderraj moved at a steady pace, not slowing down during any portion of his lift. Once he reached lockout, Inderraj held the bar for a few seconds, displaying immense grip strength as well.

As per his Instagram post from late October, Inderraj Singh Dhillon is currently in preparation for the 2023 EPF Open Classic Powerlifting Championships. This competition will take place from December 4-9, in Tartu, Estonia, which means that Inderraj is nearing the end of his prep. So, we might witness a brand new IPF Deadlift World Record.
Inderraj Singh Dhillon competed at last year’s EPF European Championships as well and missed out on the podium by a small margin. However, he has since put up some much better performances, giving himself quite a realistic shot at the title this year.
Inderraj Singh Dhillon has taken part in 11 sanctioned powerlifting competitions so far and won three of them. Nonetheless, his stats are likely to improve in the future, as Inderraj is progressing at a rapid pace and is now in arguably better shape than ever before.
