Jacob Heppner versus the CrossFit Open Workout 20.1 is now a very real story-line.
Trolls going to troll, and that’s exactly what Heppner did with his Workout performance over the weekend. How did Heppner post a mind boggling 7:25 on Workout 20.1? With a help of a little video editing magic, Heppner got the attention he craved.
Below is the now very controversial video from Jacob Heppner.
“For this performance I want to thank “Final Cut Pro” for allowing me to obtain my goals!!!!
Funny part is I guarantee there are people in the Open that actually do this for real. Thats the sad part.
Some people will say it isn’t real. To those haters….I would agree.”

In the comments, Heppner would add
“DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET….but this is for sure real.”
After the video posted, Heppner would double down and go to Instagram to explain himself.
“Serious Note – I was honestly surprised how many folks believed a video, that I edited like a 3rd grader. Lesson for the weekend. Don’t be gullible. Just because you see a news article on Facebook or any social platform doesn’t means it’s real. Do your research. #EndRant .
.
Funny Note – If all you gullible folks want to send me your emails I’m sure there is a fake prince in a faraway land that would love to ask you for 💰 through email.”
Heppner has had a mixed bag when it comes to the CrossFit games. In 2017, he missed the Games with knee bursitis. 2018 saw Heppner bounced due to an Open Workout judging technicality. Last year he made a triumphant return to the Games and placed sixth overall.
With the CrossFit Open Workout 20.1 almost done, what will Heppner do for Workout 20.2?
