The best of French powerlifting was once again gathered at the 2023 FFForce Girl Power competition over the weekend, and, as expected, it produced some incredible performances. The crowded venue in Cenon saw multiple athletes put up great lifts, but Jade Jacob was levels ahead of everyone else. She took part in the raw 57-kilogram weight class and put on a show for everyone. Aside from winning the title, Jade also put on a show in the first event, where she locked out a 186-kilogram (410-pound) squat. This turned out to be an Unofficial IPF World Record, proving what great shape Jade is currently in.

Jade Jacob opened up with a 167.5-kilogram (369.3-pound) squat, which can be considered raw based on some of her competitions in the past year. So, obviously, she performed it with ease. Jade then followed it up with a humongous jump to 180 kilograms (396.8 pounds) for her second squat attempt. This was almost as heavy as her previous squat competition PR, but Jade still did not show signs of even the slightest struggle.

With one last attempt left, Jade Jacob decided to try outperforming the IPF World Record in her weight class. In order to do so, she decided to load 186 kilograms (410 pounds) on the barbell. Jade slowly walked out and prepared herself for the challenge that awaited. She then made sure that her equipment (lifting belt, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps) was secured and ducked down under the barbell. Soon after, she initiated the lift and completed the repetition after a very small grind.

The current U57KG IPF Raw Squat World Record belongs to Butters Bobbie, who squatted 185.5 kilograms (409 pounds) at the 2022 EPF European Classic Powerlifting Championships. So, for Jacob Jade to officially break the record, she would need to repeat this lift in an official competition sanctioned by the IPF.

Jacob Jade had an incredible squat but lacked a bit of luck in the bench press and deadlift. She ended up missing her final attempts at both of the later events, which cost her an additional two unofficial IPF World Records. However, Jade walked away with a new competition PR Total as well, meaning that her day was very productive. Moreover, having won the title, Jade was rewarded with €5,000 (~$5,300).
