Jade Jacob wasted no time at the start of the new year but instead immediately turned to the gym. As a result, she now managed to set a huge 225-kilogram (496-pound) raw deadlift two-rep personal record. Her new PR came at just the right time since she will be competing in the 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships on February 10th.

Jade Jacom performed her new two-rep PR with a sumo stance and a mixed grip, which is the standard technique she uses when it comes to deadlifts. She has perfected it over the years and even managed to set an IPF Junior Deadlift World Record in the 57-kilogram weight class.

Jade Jacob did not have any aid in regard to the equipment that she was wearing, as she only put on a lifting belt, thus qualifying for a raw deadlift. Furthermore, Jade is a natural powerlifter, meaning that her performance was not enhanced by any drugs either.

Jade Jacob was one of the best performers at the 2023 IPF Sheffield, as she outperformed many elite lifters and finished in third place overall. So, judging by her new two-rep PR, there is hope that she might place even higher at the upcoming 2024 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.

This year’s IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships will be more important for Jade Jacob and the rest of the competitors since it will feature the largest prize purse in the history of powerlifting. So, there is no doubt that Jade will be chasing the gold medal and perhaps some World Records.

Jade Jacob has taken part in 21 sanctioned powerlifting competitions since 2018, when she made her debut in the sport. Moreover, she has won 11 competitions while also securing some valuable podium finishes at the IPF World Championships in 2022 and 2023. Jade’s most notable victories came at the 2021 and 2022 EPF European Championships, where she took gold in the Junior division.
